THUNDER IN MAY – THE PREQUEL

by Author | May 20th, 2011

Well, after a long year it’s finally done. The manuscript and cover images for the prequel to Seelowe Nord went off to the publisher today. Providing they are happy with it all then the first copies should start appearing in July. I will announce the release dates on here when I know more.

Thunder in May is the story of the German offensive in the West, culminating in the evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force from Dunkirk. This dramatisation / fictional adventure story includes both historical figures and invented characters like the first novel and follows their adventures during the chaotic days of May-June 1940. Like Selowe Nord, it is a fast-paced, hard hitting war story told from both the Allied and German point of view using the snapshot method. Once the publisher has approved everything, I will, in due course, start to upload some titbits about the book, including a couple of extracts and hopefully a sneak preview of the cover. This may take 2 or 3 weeks for everything to start coming through, but as soon as I have the stuff I need, it will be loaded onto this site straight away.

The novel has been written to honour the memory of the combatants of all nationalities who took part in that dramtic campaign. As ever, a percentage of the royalties from the novel will be donated annually to British military charities.

Welcome!

Seelöwe Nord is the online home of Andy Johnson, a war fiction novelist. Seelöwe Nord is a war novel that tells the alternative history of Operation Sealion, the proposed German invasion of Britain in 1940. Followed by Thunder in May, and the recently released Crucible of Fate, the trilogy of War Fiction remains a popular read within the genre.

Andy has also started to publish small Leadership and Management Booklets drawing from his extensive experience across many sectors and industries, both military and civilian, the first of which is entitled Captains of the Gate and is now available for download on eReaders directly from Amazon.
