First Battle Map

by Phil Johnson | May 28th, 2010

As promised, here is the very first Battle Map showing you the initial positions of the major British and German formations at ‘H’ Hour on ‘S’ Day. I have initially just put one map up, to see how it works. Hopefully, you will be able to click on it and zoom in to study the units in more detail.

An initial glance however shows the five German infantry assault divisions, followed up by the 8th Panzer Division in the second wave. The Storm Battalion can be seen to the south where they landed on Spurn Head. I have also noted some of the major towns and cities mentioned in the book, mainly for the benefit of those not familiar with this part of the Britain.

If this map looks OK online then I will produce some more showing the developments in the book, without giving too much of the plot away!

To view in greater details simply click on the map.
